Nepal, Three Passes Trek

In May of 2022 I spent 26 days hiking in Nepal with family and friends.

The group included my girlfriend, my 70 year old mother, my brother and his girlfriend, and her brother. Experience ranged from extensive worldwide remote travel to just local low altitude hiking. Several of the group had never been above 12,000′.

Although we had concerns about the heath and safety of my mother, my prefered style of travel is independent and if possible without support (see How to Travel).

The objective was to complete the Three Passes Trek, a trek in the Everest region of the Himalayas which crosses Kongma la (18,205′), Cho La (17,782′), and Renjo La (17,560′).

All of us got sick, many for weeks (the entire trip), some severely so with Dengue Fever.

A trip report is coming soon.
